US Solar Development was founded in 2017, with the goal of providing commercial solar expertise across the Mid-Atlantic Region. We work with businesses, architects, and our partners to provide solutions in all phases of the development cycle including financing, engineering, permitting, utility interconnection, construction, and operations & maintenance. Our portfolio is heavily weighted in commercial rooftop solar applications, where roofing solutions were also provided. We are based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and additionally develop and build projects in New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington DC.
Leadership Bio
Dylan Kautz is a NABCEP certified PV installation professional, with tenure in commercial solar development and installation dating back to 2009. Prior to entering the solar space, he had a background in commercial roofing in PA and commercial construction in Washington, DC. He founded one of PA’s largest and longest-tenured solar companies, KC Green Energy, where he completed hundreds of residential and commercial solar projects before starting US Solar Development, Inc. to specialize in Commercial Projects. He offers a rare skill set in development, financing, and solar construction that is invaluable to his partners and customers. Under his leadership, US Solar Development was honored as one of Inc. 500's fastest-growing companies in 2025.
